The Perfect Fall Coats Under $150

If you’re like me and greatly anticipating the colder weather that’s on it’s way, or if you’re already wrapping up before heading outside, chances are you’re ready to reach for the perfect Fall coat. As we consider our carefully crafted capsule wardrobes, we are definitely putting just as much thought into the coat that’s going to go with everything and look and feel amazing too. But until I’m ready to seriously invest in a coat that will last me years, I want to make sure that what I am adding to my wardrobe is both budget-friendly and good quality. That’s why I’ve compiled an edit the best fall coats that I’ve found on the high street, for under $150. Not surprisingly, I’ve found some coats that are of great quality and have a high percentage of natural materials like wool. They also come in some of the season’s coolest trends.

Styles to look for…

Camel Coats: This fall, I’m loving all of the camel and brown shades I’ve been seeing, especially for long wool coats. For someone who wears arguably too much black year round, I am happily experimenting with more browns and beige this season, without feeling too far out of my comfort zone.

Teddy Coats: Another trend that’s back again is the shearling or teddy coat (fyi: borg = faux shearling) and there have been so many good options on the high street, especially at Asos and H&M. I’ve had my eye on this Pieces aviator style jacket for a while and I absolutely love this cool reworking of the teddy coat.

Plaid Coats: I’ve gone on about this style already and I’m still not over it. I love the trench-coat hybrid and how effortless a gray or brown plaid pattern looks with everything. This Double Breasted Plaid Coat from NA-KD is 50% wool and fits the bill perfectly. Realistically, living in San Diego, I would opt for a lighter trenchcoat that can be layered with sweaters underneath.

Wrap Coats: There’s nothing quite as cool as a wrap coat styled with skinny jeans, heeled boots and a killer pair of sunglasses. I’m finding tons of cold weather inspiration from Hannah of CocoBeautea and Anne-Miek Kessels of Modedamour so I suggest checking them out too! These make for a great layering piece as they look so cool just draped over your outfit or cinched in at the waist to give you a bit more shape.
