It’s my favorite time of year, when it’s finally cool enough to wear my favorite coats and knits. This season I have added some lovely pieces to my Fall capsule wardrobe and I wanted to do a little recap to share my favorite items with you. So without further ado, here are my Fall wardrobe favorites.

Every year I go a little crazy with the coat and jacket purchases and this year was no exception. But I am happy to report that I was able to add some gorgeous secondhand pieces to my wardrobe, instead of buying new! Coats can get pricey, especially if you’re looking for wool or cashmere blends, so shopping secondhand is a great options for these pieces.

This year I added a secondhand Topshop wrap camel coat to the mix, which I purchased on ThredUp. I was lusting after this coat last year when I saw it in the store so I was so happy to find it again and for a huge discount. And as of today, I’ve also added a secondhand Topshop plaid trenchcoat as well - another item I refrained from buying new last year. These are both such classic styles that I know they will be a part of my wardrobe for the long run. Apart from those two, I added a thinner cocoon camel coat from Uniqlo - the perfect layer for the hot-and-cold SoCal Fall and which I’ve already got a lot of use out of!

As for knitwear, I’ve added a few more pieces to my ever growing Uniqlo collection. I repurchased my favorite Merino Wool Crew Neck Sweater in navy and added a couple of chunky knit cardigans and a merino wool turtleneck into the mix too. Uniqlo does some of my favorite knitwear, hands down and it’s become such a failsafe in my closet.

This was also a great season for accessories! Towards the end of summer I added a couple designer (eep!) bags to my collection, including the Staud Bissett bag and the Trademark bucket bag. I have been using these two investment purchases nonstop and they’ve obviously transitioned seamlessly into my fall capsule wardrobe. As for shoes, I’ve been wearing my new Veja Esplar sustainable sneakers every chance I get! I was a bit worried about breaking them in at first, but they’ve proven to be the most comfortable and stylish leather sneaker.

It’s only just starting my cool down here in San Diego, and it’s nearly December, so I know I’m going to get a lot more wear out of my fall capsule wardrobe. I am also seriously looking forward to traveling to Atlanta in December so I’ll wait until then to properly break out the winter wear. Check out all my fall wardrobe favorites in the edit below. Thanks for reading! xx Jessica
