My Spring Wardrobe Favorites

This spring, I’m taking a note from my favorite bloggers and embracing all things minimal and effortless. There are several key items that I’m looking to add to my capsule wardrobe, partially because with spring comes a major change in weather and therefore a major change in my wardrobe. But I’m also looking to update many of my wardrobe basics, and that means embracing more neutral tones and classic pieces. Here are some of the styles and silhouettes that I’ve been loving for spring. I’ve also updated the Shop My Favorites page for a seasonal refresh with tons of wardrobe staples that will carry you through spring and summer and can be incorporated into your year round wardrobe.

Barely There Sandals

One item I’m loving for spring is a strappy heeled sandal. While this is a pretty trendy piece, it’s also really minimal and could become a great staple heel to pair with occasion wear. I think I would style this piece by dressing it down with a pair of straight leg jeans and an oversized blouse once the weather heats up. This piece gives me major Parisian vibes and I love all the affordable alternatives for this very high-end style. This pair from & Other Stories has a cylindrical heel that adds extra interest.

Oversized Blazers

I really love this androgynous look and I am very ready to embrace oversized silhouettes this spring. A linen-blend blazer is perfect for providing a nice layer of warmth in the evenings or on chillier days but it can carry you into the warmer months with the lightweight material. I love how an oversized blazer looks paired with a fitted t-shirt and straight leg jeans, tailored shorts or even denim cutoffs. They add an instant feeling of effortlessness to any outfit and can dress up the most casual looks. I love a white or off-white for spring and summer but a classic black or navy blue in the linen material would double as a transitional piece.

Straight Leg Denim

I’ve recently added Everlane’s Straight Leg Crop pants into my wardrobe and I am so happy with them ( watch my review here ). I love the off-white shade Stone, and how they are so well fitting and flattering. I can’t wait to style them with neutral shades for a monochromatic look. I’m also getting a ton of wear out of my light wash straight leg denim and am thinking about adding a structured dark wash pair for a more vintage feel.

Woven Bags

I’m hoping a woven bag will transport me to a Parisian balcony at some point this spring. If that doesn’t work out, at least I will have a super cute accessory for the season, one that ticks all the neutral palette boxes. You may have seen me rambling on about he Millie bag by Cult Gaia already but there are some really cute high street options as well. Mango and H&M have several great options to check out. In the meantime, I will be sipping white wine and willing a trip to Paris into existence.

So that’s a roundup of my favorite spring pieces. I am so looking forward to some warmer weather, wearing sandals again and just generally spending some more time in the sun. You can shop all the items mentioned above and even more picks in the edit below that I absolutely love. What are you looking forward to wearing this season? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading! xx Jessica
