Getting Glitzy with Dior
While we may no longer be in the New Year’s Eve party season, this year still has so many more celebrations in store for us. As you know, my wardrobe is fairly minimalist and monochrome, which can make getting all glitzed up a bit tricky. That’s why I rely heavily on accessories and makeup to add that extra sparkle and special quality to an otherwise simple outfit. Today I wanted to share with you some lovely products gifted to me by Dior Beauty Lovers, that I plan to elevate my party looks with all year long.
A Bold Palette
After watching countless tutorials from Anna, I have been dying to experiment with more colorful eyeshadow palettes. My favorite part of the 5 Coleurs Happy 2020 Palette is how deep and pigmented the shades are. I will likely use just one shade at a time with this palette so as not to overdo it. But I love the idea of a deep blue or forest green eye paired with an all black outfit. Talk about understated drama, am I right? I really love the trend of bright, boldly colored eyeshadow and I’m hoping it sticks around all year.
A Sparkly Set
Last year I saved SO many photos of nail art on my Pinterest, and have yet to actually take the plunge on an awesome manicure because there just wasn’t an occasion I deemed special enough. That’s changing this year because I really want to get out of my beauty comfort zone and change up my usual solid color (or more often than not, bare) nails. I love that glittery polish is back in a big way. This Diorific Vernis Happy 2020 glittery topcoat and is the perfect finishing touch to jazz up my solid color nails. The Final Touch
Perhaps the easiest way to elevate a simple look is to just swipe on some lipstick in a stunning shade for instant drama. I love this Diorific Happy 2020 Sparkling Lipstick in the shade Charm. It’s a lovely muted pink shade that looks flattering on so many skin tones. It’s also long wearing and the case alone feels so luxe and special. I’m definitely incorporating this shade into my day to day, since it’s a fairly muted shade, but also for those nights when I want a little something special, aka sparkly.
