A Week In Outfits: November 26-30

Jessica Harumi Week In Outfits Nov 26-30 1

Here’s my last roundup of outfits from the #NeutralOrNotNovember styling challenge hosted by @dressing_dawn. I love doing a style challenge from time to time and this was the perfect opportunity to fall back in love with my wardrobe, especially in the transition from Fall to Winter. I hope this post gives you some outfit inspiration and reminds you that you can still have fun getting dressed even if you’re just hanging out at home all day.

November 26: Freestyle

This may be my favorite outfit from the whole month! These Able Boyfriend Jeans were recently gifted to me and I’m in love with the loose silhouette- something totally different for me. Here I paired them with my Sarah Flint Loafers and an older fitted navy crew neck sweater. A more fitted top really helps balance out the wide leg of the jeans and I love how these dressy loafers feel more laid back with the denim.

November 27: Lazy

For a lazy day with a bit of time spent out I’m all about a simple sweater and leggings combo with a big cocoon coat thrown over it. I really like the mixture of these two brown shades, a taupe and a warmer camel color. And since we’re headed into proper winter weather, I took the opportunity to break out my Grenson Nanette boots for the occasion. I’d say this is more of a low-key lazy outfit that actually looks pretty cool if you ask me.

November 28: Inspired

Okay so this isn’t the most “inspired” outfit, I will admit, but I wanted this outfit to reflect those whose personal style I’m most inspired by. I admire those who can wear the most simple outfits and somehow make them feel elevated, effortless and oh so cool. I’m still really working on finding the right minimalist balance personally but I really started to appreciate this paired back approach as I started investing in wardrobe staples. A great pair of denim is just one example and these Re/Done Stovepipe Jeans are the type of wardrobe staple that I gravitate more towards nowadays.

November 29: Something Old

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: buy your outerwear secondhand. It’s the best way to find those classic pieces without spending a small fortune. I have a bit of an outerwear buying problem but I like to have lots of options to spice up my otherwise simple outfits. This plaid trenchcoat (originally from Topshop) was something I coveted for a while and eventually found for a steal on Poshmark. Now it’s one of my most worn outerwear pieces.

November 30: Something New

A was recently gifted this outfit from Able and I am enjoying all of these pieces so much already. I love testing out basic white crew neck shirts so I can find my favorites. They are such an overlooked part of most people’s wardrobe, but they’re really a pillar of my wardrobe so I like to find the best fit possible. I’m also fully obsessed with the Mamuye Tote, the relaxed style of it and that great pop of brown leather. It’s one of those pieces that just gets better with age and I’m excited for the leather to get softer and more worn looking.

So that’s all for this week in outfits. The #NeutralOrNotNovember styling challenge was so much fun to participate in. If you’re looking to do one yourself, @dressing_dawn has another monthly challenge for December and it’s not too late to join in on the fun. I really enjoyed sharing my outfits all month and would love to know your thoughts on this little series. Is this something you’d like to see more of on my blog? Let me know in the comments. And as always, thank you so much for reading! xx Jessica
