This month’s playlist consists of almost all ‘new-to-me’ music. As per usual, lo-fi and deep house feature heavily with songs from the likes of Classixx, Cauis and Photay (whom I recently rekindled my love for).

A recent discovery of mine that I can’t stop listening to is Computer Data, an SF-based DJ making some addicting deep house sounds. Then there’s the track Underwaterfall from Bearcubs, which in all honesty is the only song of his that I really vibe with, but I think that’s because it might as well be an unreleased James Blake song, definitely worth a listen.

As for indie tracks, there’s the new song from one of my favorite indie artists, Still Woozy off of his upcoming album, and a track from surf rock group Night Beats that’s so damn catchy. Speaking of which, this video of Vampire Weekend performing a live mashup of Diplomat’s Son and Jessica (by Major Lazer) is terrible quality but fills me with nostalgia. I also don’t mind imagining Ezra Koenig serenading me directly (lol) so there’s that.

But the song I’ve been listening to repeatedly as of late is Photay’s Outré Lux featuring the ever-etheral voice of Madison McFerrin. That song is all types of magic and I could literally listen to it on repeat all day. And there you have it, a snapshot of my month in music. What have you been listening to lately?
