Fall Homeware Wishlist

As a self-proclaimed homebody, there is nothing I love more than to come home to a cozy and relaxing house. This is even more important when the season changes, the days get shorter, a bit chillier and I’m less inclined towards late nights out. I have to be honest, I’ve never been much for decorating my home for the change in season but this year is different. I’ve been itching to incorporate more things into my home that give me that exciting feeling of Fall and make me want to spend even more time enjoying my place. Here is a list of some of my favorite homeware item at the moment- and some easy updates to get your home ready for the colder months. Click on the images for the link.

Bedroom

Sleeping on sheets made of natural fibers like cotton and linen is so important as they are breathable and won’t make you overheat. I love that linen sheets are having a bit of a moment right now. While I’m usually all about crisp white sheets, I’ve been really loving the look of a dark gray or light pink sets.

Kitchen

One item I’ve recently purchased which was a total no brainer but has drastically improved my life is an electric kettle. And not just any kettle, but a really cute one that makes me happy every time I look at it. It’s the little things people. And this is going to come in handy when there’s just nothing that will warm me up but a cup of tea.

Can you imagine how cute this gold silverware will be paired with some nice linen napkins all set up around a gorgeously decorated table? There’s nothing more festive than breaking out the fancy silverware (goldware?), or you could be plain bougie like me and use them for your cereal every day.

Cooler months means more hot caffeinated beverages to go and with that comes a renewed dedication to reusable mugs. My new favorite one is the KeepCup, mostly because it’s glass and not metal.

Let’s face it, the later half of the year is probably the booziest. Gotta keep warm, ya know? One way to make your bar cart a whole more festive is with a matching gold bar set. How fun is that? I can already picture all the yummy cocktails I can make with this.

Living Room

Of course, one of THE most luxurious things you can use to make your place the hygge home of dreams is to light a candle. One of my favorite candles that I burned all last year is the Teakwood Myrrh candle from DW Home and it gives me all the autumnal nostalgia. Another favorite is the Pecksniff England’s line of Aromatherapy candles- literal bliss in smell form.

If there’s one fabric that really encapsulates Fall it would have to be velvet. I love littering my sofa with a ton of throw pillows and velvet really brings the soft and cozy vibe to the next level. Another type of throw pillow I love is a really shaggy cotton material. There’s something a bit 70’s about it but I love the geometric, modern designs they come in. *adds to cart*

One piece that I rotate from bedroom to living room on a regular basis in the cooler months is my beloved Pendleton throw blanket, kindly gifted by my brother. The wool material means it will keep you super warm and the Pendleton color stripes makes this a really classic piece.

I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect accent chair to make a little reading nook in my tiny apartment. I love the idea of cozying up with a book and a hot chocolate in the corner. I was happy to find that there are some pretty affordable options out there in a ton of different style and colors. I’m leaning more towards a dark gray in a classic style that I can spice up with over-the-top throw pillows and blankets. But then again, I might just go for a pink velvet one.

Perhaps this is a weird one, but I picked up this coat rack from Kikkerland a couple years ago and it’s so useful. I also just really like the quaintness of it. This, coming from someone who is #blessed with a designated coat closet in my tiny one bedroom apartment.
