I’ve been behind on blogging for a couple week or so since the gift guides went up and I wanted to sort of ease my way back into things with an impromptu post today. In fact, I started writing this post about 4 days ago before things got busy.

I’m currently enjoying some down time at home in Atlanta, spending quality time with my family and taking care of some last minute preparations for Christmas! I’m also hitting myself for not packing these lovely boots that arrived just a few days before my trip.

During the Black Friday sales, I snagged these Lada boots from By Far for a huge discount. I’ve loved and admired the brand for many years and only dreamed of owning my very own pair. I even found a great dupe for these earlier this year, the Aloha boots from Office (sadly sold out) which I own in black.

I can’t wait to style these boots with some straight leg or flared denim or a midi dress. I love the Parisian feel of these boots, the effortless style and the unique color - which I don’t yet have in my closet. I’m definitely planning to bring these with me on my trip to Europe in March so I’ll have to do some breaking in before then.

In all honesty, I always feel a little bit nervous when sharing more expensive pieces on my blog and instagram. I don’t know why exactly because I work hard to be able to invest in what I love but it still feels a bit showy sometimes. But I’ve been able to buy quite a few designer pieces this year and that feels like a huge accomplishment!
