A Week In Outfits: November 16-20

Jessica Harumi Week In Outfits Nov 16-20 1

It’s already time for another roundup of my #NeutralOrNotNovember outfits, an Instagram styling challenge hosted by @dressing_dawn. This week was particularly fun for my styling-wise. I tried out a few new looks for me, from a borrowed vintage shacket to double denim and tons of layered jewelry. Here’s what I wore.

November 16: Classics

I borrowed the most beautiful vintage wool shacket from my mom’s closet. Fashion truly is cyclical and this oversized shirt jacket is a perfect example of that. It has some cute details too like chambray lining around the collar and cuffs and some gold buttons that make this piece feel very nautical indeed. I’ve always loved exploring my mom’s timeless wardrobe and my appreciation for it has only grown as I get older.

November 17: Make It Fancy

I recently got to try out the new recycled Re-Tights line from Organic Basics (gifted) and I have to say, I was pretty impressed! Growing up I basically lived in ballet tights and they were always super tight and uncomfortable so I’m glad I now have some grown up nylon for my leg-baring winter looks. I don’t know what it is about tights that feel fancy to me but they really do elevate an outfit.

November 18: With An Edge

If I want to look a bit edgier, I always reach for a graphic tee. Today I switched it up a bit with double denim, rather than my usual leather jacket. This is a combination I will be recreating for sure. I adore this vintage San Francisco tourist tee with the Golden Gate Bridge and planets on it. I found it in a Goodwill in Atlanta back in high school and I’ve worn it religiously ever since.

November 19: Soft

Here’s a more realistic WFH outfit for me: a soft cardigan, stretchy pants and slippers. I’ve quickly become obsessed with this VETTA Capsule Cardigan that I included in last week’s outfit roundup. And I’m currently borrowing these slippers while looking for a cute and sustainable pair for myself so if you have any brand suggestions please let me know!

November 20: Accessories

I always love the look of layered gold necklaces and I finally have a nice little collection of my own to experiment with. The more statement piece in this bunch is the Pearl Chain Necklace from Skye. Layered gold jewelry really works to elevate an otherwise basic jeans and a tee look and I kept it super simple with all black.
