One Color Head To Toe

I love a monochrome outfit! It’s such a simple styling trick that always makes even then most simple outfits feel more put together. It creates the illusion of a matching set which always helps to elevate an outfit in my opinion. My Free Label Linen Frannie Wrap Top paired with my Everyday Crop Pants from Laude the Label looks more like a jumpsuit or a matching set.

Dress It Down With Jeans

One of the easiest ways that I make my wardrobe stretch is by dressing down any top with jeans to make it more wearable day to day. I love the look of more luxe materials like linen and silk paired with denim. I’m also not someone who likes to feel too dressed up so I will often opt for a good pair of jeans for even a nicer dinner. I live by the jeans and a dressy top formula.

Match Like Materials

If you’re already rocking the monochrome styling trick on the regular, what about matching like materials instead? Head to toe linen, while being very practical for the warmers months, also creates cohesion in an outfit with texture. This linen Oversized Tunic from Laude the Label feels so polished with my Free Label Linen Rai Crop Pants and a sleek pair of heeled wrap sandals. As someone who doesn’t have much color in my wardrobe, I occasionally like to add a pop of color mixed in with my neutral staples.

Play With Proportions

I love playing with proportions in my wardrobe, such as an oversized blouse and a pair of slim fitting straight leg jeans. As a general rule, I try to balance out my top and bottom, so if I’m wearing something more flowey on the bottom, like my Free Label Linen Rai Crop Pants, I like to balance it out with something more form fitting on top. This top is actually the Free Label Andie Bra but it has a bit more coverage and fits like a crop top. It’s one of the most comfortable bra tops I’ve found and it’s reversible too.
