October Goals

Yesterday morning I did something VERY out of my normal habit and ordered an iced pumpkin spiced latte. I don’t particularly like this drink but I was in the mood for something sweet and seasonal and it just kind of happened. And that’s when it dawned on me that it was the first day of October (or Halloween month as I like to think of it)! This made me instantly fill up with excitement for the end of the year and all of the festivities ahead and also a little bit reflective as I realized we’re in the last stretch of 2018! Can you even believe that? The past couple of weeks have been a bit draining as I feel myself unable to keep up with day to day tasks so I’m hoping this blog post will put the bigger picture into perspective and give me a renewed energy.

  1. Get festive! Some time earlier this year I decided that this fall and winter I really wanted to celebrate and embrace the festive feelings in the air. I think it’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day and not take the time to enjoy all of the special occasions the end of the year has to offer. I plan to do more cooking and baking, visit a pumpkin patch, drink loads of hot chocos and soak up the fall season with my love. I also get to celebrate one of my friend’s getting married this month and I’m so excited for that! It’s going to be a very cozy October.

  2. Revamp my Shop page. Now on to a more objective goal. My Shop page is in desperate need of an update and I hope to do that very soon with all new items for fall. I have a ton of things that I’ve been eyeing up and a few things I’ve already added to my wardrobe so I want to share those with you.

  3. Up my Pinterest game. I’ve already started utilizing Pinterest a lot more for everything from wardrobe and interior planning to gift ideas and curly hair inspo. It’s been incredibly helpful in my capsule wardrobe experiment in particular. And I’ve never really just saved reference photos for my personal style all in one place but boy does it give me a clear idea of something that seems so ambiguous in my head. What do you like to use Pinterest for?

So there are my goals for October! It’s nice to have a more fun-oriented goal for the month. We’ve all been working hard all year and I’m definitely ready to reflect on that and see what I want to change going into the last quarter of the year. Thanks for reading! Let me know what you’re goals are for the wonderful month of October.
