Asos Transitional Favorites

Every year I find myself in that strange transitional mood where I'm still very much enjoying sunshine and warm nights but my mind has started to wander into sweater weather territory. Fall, and the ensuing holiday season is undeniably exciting. That said, I'm terrible at planning my Fall purchases in advance. This year, I'm hoping to change that so that I can make more thoughtful purchases, build a more cohesive wardrobe, and maybe even invest in something really special!

Some cute pieces have caught my eye already and I wanted to collect them and make a bit of an edit from one of my absolute favorite online retailers, Asos. As an American shopper, I love that I can easily order from all the UK retailers I love and find such a variety on the site. Their own line also has some really quality pieces too (my favorite leather chelsea boots are Asos Absolute). So take a look and see if you like anything. And let me know how you plan out your Fall wardrobe in the comments below!

Tops

I love the leopard print trend but I need to find the right piece for me. This pajama style blouse from Whistles is a bit pricey for a trendy piece but boy is it perfect *swoon*. The romantic wrap top is definitely something I'd like to carry into Fall and this star print is a little bit magical. My wardrobe is well acquainted with a stripey top but this season I'm ready for some color! And as much as I love the understated chicness of the Whistles slogan tees, this Wild Heart pocket slogan tee by Vero Moda is a strong (budget-friendly) alternative.

Bottoms

A black denim overall seems like the perfect piece to exist in my wardrobe and yet, I've not been able to commit to one yet. This dress version would be really simple to enjoy in the late summer (several months in San Diego) and into Fall and Winter. The polka dot pants are quite summery but I like the idea of pairing them with something warmer on top going into fall, and they're on sale too! I've yet to try the Asos Farleigh jeans and I want to know if they live up to the hype (I know, I'm incredibly late to the party). And as an alternative to the overall dress, the more me version of the style (pants always). This Fall, I want to experiment more with wide leg pants which are so flattering and cool looking on everyone. I especially want to try a pair of wide leg corduroy pants because it just doesn't get much cooler than that.

Sweaters & Jackets

Strangely enough, I've only managed to include one sweater in this edit and it's a bit different for me. But remember when I mentioned that I'm ready to let the color in this season? This sweater is sweet and has a bit of a 70s vibe to it and I love that. I've also been eyeing this amazing terracota jacket which is maybe the most perfect transitional jacket I've found. It's also a great alternative to my Levi's denim jacket that I wear religiously year round.

Shoes

While not being a huge sneaker fan, I've come to a point in my life (dramatic) where I just can't avoid them any longer. I'm headed to New York in a few days and I plan on picking up a pair of the Old Skool Vans to get me around in style. Every Fall it's the same struggle over and over again. I'm super picky about my boots because I love them a lot and wear them to death once I find the right pair. Asos is so so great for black boots and they have a ton of options is so many different styles so you're bound to find what you're looking for. The Stan Smith Adidas are everywhere and they've now released the all white version. They are just the perfect leather sneakers, with the sleekness of the Common Project shoes (without the hefty price tag) and all the street cred of the brand itself. Although I wont be buying these off Asos because they've literally sold out as I was writing this. Am I a sneaker fan after all?
