April Playlist
Happy first of April and April Fool’s Day! My playlist this month consists of all my favorite classical renditions of early 2000s pop music. LOL all jokes aside, it’s my birthday month and I’m feeling the excitement, which I think is reflected in my music choices of late.
This past month I’ve been listening to more upbeat house playlists while working. Through the YT algorithm I discovered Black Coffee and have been listening to his AfroJunglist mix and Cercle set on repeat, see exhibit A.
My Ry X obsession continues from last month, particularly his project with Frank Wiedemann called Howling and any other electronic track he’s featured on for that matter.
I also discovered some new-to-me artists like Jadu Heart (the cutest lofi/indie duo), Augustine (would you call this soft boy music?) and Omar Apollo (umph personified, for fans of Steve Lacy). Then there’s the random Cut Copy song that popped into my head after literally 10 years so I added that too. And apologies for bringing TikTok into this playlist but that Surf Mesa song is just too damn catchy.
